Star Fleet Universe Champaine Map (Federation & Empire)

The full campaign map

Way in the distant past of this blog, I showed off the campaign map I had made for fighting battles in the Star Fleet Universe (using A Call To Arms and Starmada rule sets). I had used highlighters to colour the borders for each of the major empires. However, over time, those highlighters faded. Recently I decided to get some acrylic paints and repaint all the borders again. Voila! Good as new. So, I decided to show it off again. All the counters are from the Federation & Empire game from Amarillo Design Bureau.

The Cardassian Union bounded in yellow

I still have to make some counters for the Cardassian's, Ferengi and the Breen. But you can see Bajor and the Wormhole in hex's 3104 and 3204 above. Each hex is regarded as a Sector on the map. The Badlands can also be seen in sectors 3103, 3202 & 3203. The Ferengi Alliance is visible in purple around sector 3201.

The Breen Confederacy

The Kzinti Hegemony

The Wyn Radiation Zone Nebula and the LDR

The Lyran Star Empire

The Hydran Kingdoms

The Klingon Empire towards the galactic centre

The Klingon Empire towards the outer rim (with an orange nebula)

The Klingon Empire towards the Tholian border

Q'onoS, the Klingon Homeworld can be seen in Sector 3227 above.

The Tholian Holdfast

The region of The Triangle sandwiched between Klingon, Tholian, Federation and Romulan space

Romulan rimward expanse

Romulan home territories

Romulus and Remus can be seen in sectors 1720 and 1819 above. The astute reader will note that this area of the map reflects the border map seen in the original series.

Romulan far territories and unexplored reaches

The Gorn Confederation

The United Federation of Planets

The Typhon Expanse towards the galactic centre

The Kzinti & Cardassian borders

Part of the Klingon border

Along the Klingon border

You might note some familiar system names hidden in these areas.

The Orion Nebula

Along the Romulan border

Further along the Romulan border

The Gorn border

Furthest patrol area back towards the Typhon Expanse

The UFP founding planetary home worlds

Some systems of note within the UFP

More systems of note within the UFP

A very famous system along the border of the UFP

The far stars, unexplored space

More unexplored space outside the Romulan Star Empire

One map border

The other map border

Each counter represents either a ship or patrol group for purposes of the campaign, rather than being used as the Federation & Empire ruleset. But the map is also meant to be able to be played using Federation & Empire. There are a lot more counters to make. The whole thing is magnetic and so the counters have magnets on them as well. I have two sets of Federation & Empire for this purpose.

So, there you go!

Klingon D5 for A Call To Arms Starfleet - UPDATE

UPDATE - It didn't seem right to me that the D5 ACTA ship data card that I posted in the previous post had two rear firing photon torpedoes. In the TV shows, Klingon's face their enemies and have minimal weapons facing to the rear. They only have some just in case an enemy gets behind them. So I reduced the number of torp's to the rear by one and adjusted the ships new points value to 150 points. But feel free to use either version.

Klingon D5 for A Call To Arms Starfleet

I have finally had the time to get back to doing my version of Klingon ships from the TV series for ACTA Starfleet. Been very busy working on stuff for my roleplaying group of late, so my apologies there fan.

Anyway, here is my take on the Klingon D5 as seen on Star Trek Enterprise and in the Axanar fan film.

The types of weapon systems come from online schematics. The numbers of dice for each weapon are based on the D5 being a bigger hitter than the D4. Enjoy!

Klingon D4 for ACTA Starfleet

Returning to my series I'm doing on my adaptions of the on-screen Klingon vessels to ACTA Starfleet this post covers the Klingon D4, as seen in Star Trek Enterprise. This ship was also part of the Four Years War as detailed by FASA. My take sees the ship as equipped with beam disruptor weapons and photon torpedoes.

Klingon K23 'Little Killer' from Studio Bergstrom & Woomera Shipyards

These just arrived as part of my pre-order. Designed by Woomera Shipyards and produced by Studio Bergstrom, these are the K23 'Little Killer' Escorts and they have just gone up on the Studio Bergstrom shop. I have to say, and you can see it for yourself from the photos, these are really nicely detailed miniatures.

This version of the ship is the 1:3125 scale miniature and will be used by me as a cruiser, probably designed for planetary assault and support. There is a 1:3788 scale version that I also intend to get that will fit the bill as an Escort vessel. Check out the level of detail on this baby!

MicroMachines original series Enterprise, K23, MicroMachines D7

Scale wise, as you can see from above and below, the 1:3125 scale model is almost as large as the MicroMachines original Enterprise and Klingon D7 toys and so will make a nice new shiny Klingon cruiser. Time to paint her up!

Another excellent product from Woomera and Bergstrom. Hat's off to you lads yet again!
