Fallout Wasteland Warfare Protectron

 

The first Protectron for Fallout Wasteland Warfare is done! It proved surprisingly easy to achieve also. One serendipitous thing I found out was that if I base coat the miniature in black spray and then, after its dried, zenith highlighting the model in another spray (Army Painter's Necrotic Flesh if I remember correctly), you end up with a speckled look that I feel kind of makes to miniature look aged and faded. See for yourself.

I used Agrax Earthshade over the entire model to add to the worn and grimy look. Ok...next model!

Bloatfly for Fallout Wasteland Warefare

 

This lovely little blighter is from Armorcast and is there lovely Giant Mutant Bloated Flies. The miniatures have been around for years and are perfect for Fallout Wasteland Warfare of post-apocalyptic roleplaying.

As you can see, I have painted this one up as a Glowing Bloatfly. I have a bunch more that need to be painted for more run of the mill Bloatflies. So its back to the painting table.

You can get maggots from Armorcast but this one is a fishing lure off eBay and is much larger. HINT: they also work well for the Doctor Who Miniatures game.

Fallout Wasteland Warfare DYI Radroaches

Grilled Radroach anyone? These lads came from a $2.50 bag of roaches at the local store for Halloween. The Modiphius radroaches are a little small for what I wanted. They are great as a swarm of the little &#$%! But for a larger beasty, these guys do very nicely.

I intend using these ones in a OSR D20 Fallout game I play for my RPG group when we aren't adventuring in a fantasy setting. So larger beasts on single bases are good to portray creatures with more hit dice.

And what are radroaches without the odd Irradiated Radroach, I ask?

And of course, where there are Irradiated ones, there's bound to be the odd Glowing Radroach as well.

 Stay away from that one!
