A blog about my wargaming in Middle-earth, the Old World and some other far away places across the void, with Grand Scale 10mm (and some 15mm) miniatures using the Warmaster, Blitzkrieg Commander, Cold War Commander, Future War Commander and GW's The War of the Ring (and some other ) rule systems. Oh, and there might be the odd post about roleplaying and board games here and there. So all the usual geeky stuff we are so proud of!

Fallout Wasteland Warfare Auto Turrets
I needed some auto turrets quickly painted for the d20 home grown rpg game of fallout. So, I grabbed the minis I had purchased before, grabbed some brown, dark green and light green spray paint cans and began given them a makeover.
I used the brown for the base, then the dark green for the second lighter coat and finally the light green I used as a zenith highlight. That took about ten or so minutes to dry. I then dry brushed the gun barrels and the ammo drums on the top of the guns in a gun metal silver. Once dry, it was time to give them an Agrax Earthshade wash. Mercifully, they were dry for the game that evening.
It gave the players a hell of a shock when the threw open the doors to a mess hall and these things opened up on them. Quick reflexes saved their characters. But more on that in another post.

Bloatflies for Fallout
As I noted in last post, I needed some standard Bloatflies for use in our homegrown d20 Fallout roleplaying game. These blighters come from Armorcast Miniatures, who unfortunately no longer ship to Australia (which sucks because he still has an order of mine that he never sent me). Anyway, at least I have several former orders from him that I have stored away, including these Bloatflies. So here they are ready for the upcoming adventure.
Now, for auto-turrets...

Feral Ghoul proxies from Zombicide
Happy New Year everyone.
I needed some feral ghoul proxies for our upcoming home grown d20 Fallout roleplaying game adventure that I was going to subject the players to. These feral ghouls needed to look like former soldiers who had suffered from too much radiation exposure. Looking around my supply of mini's I came across my Zombicide mini's and felt that these would do nicely. So, I painted up a bunch of these guys in military fatigue colours. This included a bloated zombie to be used in one of the boss fights they will eventually encounter. So here they are finally finished.
