Elder Scrolls Kharjo from Modiphius

This lad is Kharjo, the Khajiit caravan guard from the Elder Scrolls, Skyrim. This miniature is part of a Adventurer Allies set from Modiphius Entertainment.

He was the miniature for one of the players in my other D&D game. Sadly he was killed by a taxidermied Owl Bear. It was this player's first adventure playing D&D and so he learnt the hard way that Owl Bears are not to be trifled with, even when they are stuffed!

I had just finished painting the miniature too the day before. So it was a little vexing.

I don't set out to regularly kill PC's but if there are no consequences for doing silly things (like facing an Owl Bear on your own) then the game becomes boring quickly as there are not stakes. Anyway, he was up a running tacking over an NPC in no time at all. So he was back in the game and loving it.

But I do have to say that this miniature is really, really, really nice. The sculpt on the metal is amazing and captures the Skyrim vibe brilliantly. Can't wait to paint the rest of the group.

More Player Characters for D&D

I needed to paint up some player characters for the other D&D game that I run. That game is for a group of kids so you can imagine the weirdness that involves. The names alone should be a dead giveaway.

First up, we have Twinkle-Toes, a mage. This miniature is from Reaper Miniatures.

Next is Tuxedo-Cat, a fighter. Another mini from Reaper Miniatures.

And finally, we have Rayla, an OSR D&D Elf, so she is a fighter/magic user. This one is a HeroForge 3D printed miniature and is based on a Moon-elf from a kids TV animated show.

Now, to finish off that giant!

Zombicide Eridian Mutant Bosses

In the previous post I showed off the Eridian mutants that I will use in a Traveller RPG scenario. These two bad guys will be the two bosses for that group of mutants.

The first is the thin one on the left. He is a prison guard who has been mutated. His special gift will be that he is able to eject eridian spikes from his body. So basically this will be the ranged baddie for the group of mutants. If he is killed off too quickly by the PC's, then another one can appear to keep pouring ranged attacks onto the PC's with explosive, grenade like effect.

The big bruiser is the final boss for this extended combat. He is the Prospector. Basically, it was he who found the eridian in the first place and approached one of the Corporations (Hyperion) on Pandora with his find. The scenario takes place well before the events in the first Borderlands game. Hyperion agrees to help explore the find further and so arranges for one of the prison work details on the planet to assist the Prospector. About two weeks into the excavation, the mine site goes silent...

So it should be a fun dustup!

Zombicide Eridian Mutants

I wanted to paint up some Eridian altered mutants for a future Traveller RPG scenario. I had previously painted up some Zombicide zombo's as surrogates for Fallout 4 Ghouls for a D20 game based in the same world. They worked pretty well and so I decided to do similar for this scenario.

Being altered by Eridian (from the Borderlands setting), their skin was painted a purple and pink combination. The idea is that they were a prison work group sent to work on a mine and became "infected" by exposure to Eridian. So they are all pretty much wearing the same prison outfits.

Anyway, I like how they have turned out. The next post will be the bosses for these lads.
