A Gloam for D&D

What is a Gloam, you ask?

Gloam's are undead entities formed from the corpses of a multitude of crows, ravens, or magpies.

According to the Dolmenwood setting (Wormskin No.3), a Gloam has two forms, at times appearing as a flock of ragged, cawing birds and at other times in the guise of a tall, gaunt man, constructed from the agglomerated feathers, bones, and beaks of the flock. Both manifestations are wreathed in shadow and accompanied by a creeping sensation of dread. So I thought I would make one!

I used a Reaper Miniatures Shadowgaunt along with carefully removed crows from the Zombicide Murder of Crows expansion to create both Gloam miniatures.

The larger crow only miniature I glued to form a roughly humanoid shape of legs, arms, body and head. The Shadowgaunt Gloam miniature saw me cut up a bunch of crows and gluing them to various parts of the Shadowguant.

As its a swarm-like creature, one should prove a challenge to the players as they try to deal with it as it keeps swarming, attacking and dispersing. It can even disperse and get away if it suffers too much damage. Such a creature in the wilds, hunting the players, should prove fun.

Looking forward to this thing appearing on the table when the PC's are wondering through the wilds of  Dolmenwood!
