Making Water Splashes for Victory at Sea

The Royal Navy undertakes gunnery practice at Scapa Flow

I wanted to make some water splashes to denote missed gunnery shops fired from warships for Victory at Sea. So I decided to use some old coins and base them with sand. Then paint them in the fashion I have been basing my warships. I then added small tufts of cotton wool and...Bob's your Uncle!

They work nicely for my 1/3000 scale warships and are pretty cheap to make.

The different sizes can be used to denote gunnery verses depth charge explosions or can just be used as a variety of gunnery explosions in the water.

The explosion markers are from Litko and will be used to denote actual hits on targets.
