I also needed a skull for the next Fallout d20 adventure I am preparing for. Rather than just use an ordinary boring skull, I've chosen to use a Servo-skull from Warhammer 40k. The green screen is a display monitor that will permit the PC's to be able to hack into any computer or security door. So finding this little guy in the adventure will be very helpful for the players.
A blog about my wargaming in Middle-earth, the Old World and some other far away places across the void, with Grand Scale 10mm (and some 15mm) miniatures using the Warmaster, Blitzkrieg Commander, Cold War Commander, Future War Commander and GW's The War of the Ring (and some other ) rule systems. Oh, and there might be the odd post about roleplaying and board games here and there. So all the usual geeky stuff we are so proud of!

Doctor Who Miniatures Game - Zarbi
Two quick posts today to round out the year. I needed some large ants for my next home-grown Fallout d20 game and decided to use some Zarbi that I had laying around in my unpainted metal pile. These are from Black Tree Design miniatures. Most of the pictures I've seen have them as completely black in colour, which I wasn't happy with. So, I went with the colour scheme here.

Warhammer 40k in 15mm - prepping for battle
Whilst I'm still finishing off three squads of 15mm Imperial Guard proxies and a couple of Ork war bikes, I thought I might show off the table scenery in preparation for the battle that's going to be between the Orks and Imperial Guard. Hope you have a Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas everyone!
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2023
Isaiah 9:2,6-7
2 The people walking in darkness
have
seen a great light;
on those living in the
land of deep darkness
a
light has dawned.
6 For to us a child is born,
to
us a son is given,
and
the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful
Counsellor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince
of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
there
will be no end.
He will reign on
David’s throne
and
over his kingdom,
establishing and
upholding it
with
justice and righteousness
from
that time on and forever.
The zeal of
the Lord Almighty
will
accomplish this.

Ork Landa Shuttle for Warhammer 40k in 15mm
I wanted a decent proxy shuttle or landa for my 15mm Ork 40k troops and came across the old Eaglemoss Battlestar Galactica (Original Series) Shuttle on Amazon at a decent price. This was the larger version of the shuttle and seemed to fit the size I wanted. It was also bulky enough to fit in with an orkish aesthetic, so I purchased one and it arrived the other day. I'm pretty happy with the result as it fits nicely with what I was after. I would still like to kitbash a decent ork landa but don't have the time right now, so this will be my ork commando shuttle.
Space Gobbo's in 15mm for Warhammer 40K
Here's the latest in my growing Warhammer 40K in 15mm project, Gobbo's. In the Dawn of War video game, the little blighters are responsible for doing all the builds for the Ork faction. So, I'm king of thinking along similar lines here. Also, they can be upgraded to become invisible, making them excellent saboteurs.
These are by Vanguard Miniatures, from their 15mm line of Skinners.

Space Orcs War Trukk in 15mm for Warhammer 40K
Here's the latest unfinished project. This is a concept for an Ork War Trukk for Warhammer 40k. The vehicle is from the Flames of War 15mm miniature range, the gobbo's are from Vanguard, and the ork is from Ground Zero Games (either SG15-X05 or SG15-X08). All are from their respective 15mm ranges.
The vehicle conversion parts (engine and front ram) are from North Star Miniatures and are from their Gaslands range.
I think I'll still play around with adding some extra bits to it to make it look more orky. But I like the way it's coming along.

Ork Squiggoth for Warhammer 40k in 15mm
This little blighter is from Vanguard Miniatures and is from their Epic scale range. I decided to buy one and see how well it fits with their 15mm range of spacy orcs.
Not too bad really. I left the tiny little epic scale gobbo's on the big guns for the fun of it. There needs to be some greenstuff added here and there also as the mould lines are a little rough. But other than that, it does fit pretty well.

Scenery for Dawn of Warhammer 40K
Trolling through both eBay and Esty, I came across some excellent 3D printed terrain for Warhammer 40k. Terrain in the vein of the Dawn of War video game franchise. The great news was that this terrain came already printed in various sizes, including a scale that was compatible for my 15mm Warhammer 40K project. So, I naturally spent way too much getting terrain for Space Marines and the Imperial Guard. This blog post will show off the three items of Imperial Guard terrain that I purchased.
Once my hip pocked recovers, I shall be buying more Imperial Guard terrain. Now to figure out how to paint it.

Imperial Guard Sentinel proxy in 15mm for 40K
In keeping with the theme of more things that I have started this year, but haven't finished, here is my proxy that I will be using as a Sentinel for my 15mm Warhammer 40K project.

Hotwheels Warthog for 15mm Warhammer 40K
So, I wanted some fast-moving vehicles for my 15mm Imperial Guard units, and I decided to have a play around with the Hotwheels UNSC Warthog from Halo famer. Turns out that this is a pretty good match. Given that I am doing 40k in 15mm, why the hell not give the Guard some fast moving light recon vehicles. Haven't got a clue about the stat's for this thing in game as yet. But given its 15mm, the One Page Rules may come in handy for this.
In hindsight, I probably should have painted the Guard's first before affixing them to the Warthogs. But hey, what can I say, I'm stupid and will pay for it later when I try to paint them.
So, there you go. Lots still to paint and base. But given I'm showing off what I haven't finished yet this year, here's another idea for you to play with for yourself.
